Respite

Respite care is provided to help carers take a short break for their caring role or to spend time with their peers.

This can be done by providing care at the home of the person or taking the person into respite care for a short time, depdandant upon the circumstances at one of the local care providers.

If you would like to talk to someone about the possibilty of respite care then call the Carer's Support Team who will be able to provide you with further details of the options available to you. The Carer's Support Team is part of the Community Learning Disability Team.
